15mins to the St Malo ferry. Clean, super friendly staff. Value for money.
This beautiful house, a former farm converted into a hotel, beyond the noise of downtown, is an ideal choice for visiting the Emerald Coast, Saint Malo and Mont St Michel.

This is a beautiful house and, although there were other guests, it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Our ensuit bedroom was upstairs but we'd the use of living room and garden area. Breakfast is served in the main hotel down the garden path, past the goats and horses, in a truly gorgeous setting. Food was delicious with many choices of cheese, meat, eggs, breads and sauces/jams. Staff were very helpful and courteous. All in all a fabulous place to stay and priced below what I would have expected to pay for this accommodation.

Cancale is a beautiful town and the beaches are clean and very inviting. It's a nice base to visit surrounding Dinan, Dinard and St. Malo etc. From the beach bars of Cancale you can see, in the distance and directly across the bay, the outline of Mont-Saint Michel.

Cancale is a nice small town and the apartment was situated in a very small and nice place where it was possible to both drive to viewpoint and do hiking experience. the surroundings are very beautiful and interesting and the quality of oysters are exceptional. when loving seafood and French kitchen it is a very awful place to visit.

Good town Centre with interesting small shops, everything close by. The seafront has excellent views of the sea , the Mont St Michel and the famous oyster beds. Oysters were everywhere ,tastyand reasonable priced, straight out of the sea. A delight.
One problem was lack of parking in the evenings close to the restaurants. The walk down from the upper town is 5 to 10 minutes if you are able bodied. Steep if old.
Lots of restaurants on the front ,some good value.
Overall a very enjoyable long weekend.

A very busy port with limited parking which was always full on the front regardless of the time of day. Great selection of restaurants at the port and small cafe/bars up the hill in town. Stunning church. Good market on a Thursday evening from 1730. Local produce and craft stalls. We were staying just out of town, a 15 minutes walk downhill to the port. On our second night we discovered the Tuk Tuk service from the front - 4 euros per person to our location, 2.50 back into town. Cancale is a good base for discovering that area ofr Brittany. Take the D155 along the bay, a lovely road with stunning views and a chance to sample oysters and mussels along the way.

Car Parking is available close by, but it can be a little expensive, if you drive down the promenade a little you can park your car for very much less, Worth knowing. for overnight or several Days of Stays, as the Hotels there do not in many cases have Car Parks, but it is a beautiful part of Normandie, you will love it. Do Eat at the Hotel Capellan de Mere. , the food there is superb and very reasonable. P.S. You can stay there and.
they have Sea View with Balcony Rooms available.
The apartment was perfect for us. Great location, quiet, clean, and comfortable. Had everything we needed, including a kitchen and washing machine. The WiFi worked great. Everything was in good working order. For me, the bed was comfortable (firm but not hard). The owner was very kind and was very responsive. Booking said she usually responds within 24 hours, but for us it was immediate. So completely happy with our stay and would stay here again if in Cancale.
From the moment we drove up we were in heaven. An idyllic setting. Beautiful landscaping, rolling hills, trees, horses, fountains; a lovely manorly house. Reception was exceptional. If you are staying in this area you must try to stay here. Only about 5 minute drive to Cancale, a lovely small oyster city!! Right on the waterfront....
Breakfast was also lovely.. An array of cheeses/meats/eggs/bread. Looking out on that fabulous landscape!
Fantastic apartment in the heart of Cancale (Port). we stayed here over Xmas. Host was exceptionally helpful and the flat wonderful. Shops, restaurants and oysters market are very near. there is also the option for using the house garage which is very convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend enough!
This was a superb place to stay. Gated parking with a key is very unusual in France and I loved the sense of security for my rental car.
The owner was very nice and put up with my not so great French. The room was very nice though the bed was not very comfortable.
The breakfast was superb but as always no eggs.
La Mere Champlain is in the center of the beach area. It's an excellent location in good weather, and easy driving distance to St Malo, Dinan and Mont Saint-Michel. The restaurant was excellent, although extremely crowded. I had an absolutely delicious Assiette de Fruits de Mer! That was a highlight of my trip.
Perfect location in heart of the port of Cancale- next to all restaurants and cafes- our studio apartment had a sea view and was very bright.
Hosts / owners were very nice and ready to help with anything.
Food at their restaurant below was excellent, as per 7 of us! We all agreed our dinner was delicious
Comfortable room on the second floor. Attractive decor and very nice bathroom with a decent sized shower. The manager spoke good english and the restaurant staff were very helpful and attentive. We would definitely return to this hotel if we plan a futher trip to this area.
Thank you.
The hotel is in a fantastic position across from the beach. Our room had a wonderful view from all windows to the beach and up the street. The small balcony was lovely to sit out on with a drink and soak up the interesting activities below. The The bed and pillows were ok.
Very charming hotel,in a countryside setting that is still only a short drive to Cancale and 20 mins from St Malo. We all agreed we’d have loved to stay a few more nights. Great breakfast and the swimming pool and Jacuzzi were both nice too.
Location (10 minute walk to Le Port Cancale), swimming pool was a great temperature, gite was a decent size with table and chairs and clothes airer outside, supermarket nearby. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will definitely go back.
Prime location, definitely the best hotel on the street. Very well managed, family run business. Top quality and selection of meals, that you don’t get from other nearby restaurants. The owner is chef. Highly recommended.
Location on a promontory north of Cancale with fabulous views of the ocean and, on a clear day, Mont St. Michel is hard to beat. Excellent restaurant and warm, friendly staff
The location in Cancale was perfect, right at the beach. The owners were very communicative. It was the perfect size for my husband, myself, and our little dog.
