A very vibrant city with a rich history.
A very vibrant city with a rich history. The Old City is such a piece of art. The traffic is a bit pain and to get around to near by areas its recommended to walk rather than hailing a cab. To feel and absorb the real beauty of the city can only be done on the long walks this city deserves. The overall city is extremely safe. The food has a lot of variety but its definitely not among the best in the world.

Basically they need to learn how to treat tourist, stop their stupid scaming which ruins the whole experience of Baku.
Its beautiful but a small city, had been enough with just 4 days. The cultural food is not a big deal so dont visit because of the food! Be careful with the hotels showing you updated pictures that does not match with reality! specially breakfast items.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and in Icheri Sheher (The old City of Baku) in general.
We liked everything about this hotel, the historic vibe of the place is magnificent! The room was super clean and nicely decorated, and the room A\C worked very well on hot humid days. The hotel owners are friendly and super helpful. We liked the place so much that we canceled our booking in another hotel in Nizami street and stayed in Sazeli for our full stay in Baku. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families with older kids.
Ideally located in the old city, the taxi can leave you at 1-2 minutes walk (circulation in the old city is monitored so according the location it can be difficult) So this place was perfect.
Nice hotel, the room was clean and quiet and the bed confortable.
The guys at the front office were really the kindest, they helped me a lot during my stay, with recommandations, calling for me and getting informations, with my suitcase etc. A lot, really appreciated and I was always welcomed with a smile!
I will come back when visiting Baku :)
The staff is great. They speak English and they contacted me directly after I booked. Mr. Murad, Mr. Nariman and Mr. Ibrahim were all genuinely friendly, real people with the willing to help. I enjoyed my stay. You'll get more than what you paid for at this hotel. Don't over think it, book it now.
It's in the top of the old city, and the roof top overseas Baku and the Twin Flame towers. Also the sea. All in all I will definitely make this the hotel I always choose when I come to Baku.
Thank you everyone.
It's a small but cozy Hotel situated bit away from the bustling city centre but very much within walking distance. The staff at reception were very co-operative and helpful. Special mention to Mr.Behram who was very good to talk to and also very helpful in giving his suggestions on whatever we asked. Our stay was comfortable and I would say Mid city hotel is a value for money option if you are looking to stay in a decent hotel at a reasonable price, without keeping very high expectations.
Relatively new boutique hotel, it is located inside the old city gates just behind Four Seasons, this hotel is within walking distance to almost all major sightseeing points in Baku City. They have excellent room amenities matching five star hotel for a fraction of the price. All staff are courteous, friendly and very helpful. Restaurant has delicious local cuisine for lunch or dinner that can be ordered for additional cost. Overall highly recommended.
Nice and helpful staff. Clean bed. The hotel was quiet. There were no bugs or spiders. The carpets are not dirty, but old, there are stains. The hotel is not 4 stars, it is more of a boutique hotel, no stars. For breakfast there were sausages, cheese, eggs, yogurt, tea. The hotel is worth its price. Some expect 5 star quality for the price of a 1 star hotel. For the price, I would love to stay at this hotel. Location right in the heart of the city.
My recent stay at the Dondar Hotel in Baku was very enjoyable. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the city. Staff members were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local dining and attractions.
My room was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. Although I didn't use many of the hotel's facilities, their presence added value to the overall experience.
The breakfast at this hotel is outstanding, featuring a menu that caters to various tastes, including vegetarian options. With a wide variety of delicious choices, everyone is sure to find something they like.
Perfectly situated on Nizami Street, this hotel is close to Baku's Old City and major attractions like the Nizami Literature Museum. The convenient location also allows for a pleasant walk to Baku Boulevard.
The man with the glasses (forgot his name) at the reception desk was awesome. Apart from the wonderful room I got and the sea view, the treatment at this hotel was the best part of it. I'm definitely coming back to this hotel. One more thing, good and affordable restaurants are just walking distance, as well as the Old City and the Caspian Sea. The metro station is a 2-minute walk away from the hotel.
One of the best Hotels, if not the best Hotel in which one might stay in the Old City in Baku. The facility is simply great. Very friendly and welcoming Staff at the Reception Desk. Super smooth support in getting pick-up/drop-off movement to the airport very early in the morning. Really tasty and nice breakfast. Very nice Spa, one of the best selling points! Definitely recommend.
Excellent location of the hotel in the old city, not far from the fountain square and the boulevard. Nice and clean room, friendly staff who are always ready to help. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a beautiful view of Baku, quite a varied breakfast for different preferences. I can say with confidence that I will choose this hotel again on my next business trip.
Hospitality perfect service perfect breakfast perfect and also location close to everything for family or alone or with partner is good this was perfect enough
this hotel must to be 5 star hotel not 4
One of my best hotels experiences that i tried
all workers are perfect and there hospitality is make you feel welcomed in there city ..
I loved how city center this hotel was, legit a lot of stuff were basically walking distance from me, I would certainly come back to this hotel, if I do come back to Baku. Also, the hotel staff probably has one of the best hospitality that I have ever experienced out of any place that I’ve been to so far, no exaggeration.
Hello Da Vinci Hotel and hello again Baku .
The city will be remain forever as the best memories. Friendly and kind people everywhere, hotel staff also helpful too. Want to come back and again walk in old city, where located my hotel. The spirit of art is everywhere, in a small but comfortable hotel.
This hotel is ideally positioned in Baku City Centre, in old city.
Excellent location,Walking distance to the fountain square, metro, national park, shops and restaurants. The staff was great and helpful. Very accommodating. The request for free late checkout was accommodated. Highly recommended.
Illkin, Illkin, Ilkin… this is the name to remember when you go to Baku tour hotel and hostel. He is wise beyond his age and customer service personified. The others Hamza, Ali ,Rashid are not far behind. They made sure my stay was pleasant. Gave me amazing ideas and tips to explore the city
Good hotel for couples and family travellers. The staff is one of the best I've seen in all my travels! The rooms had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Baku is a magnificent city worth visiting. Leaving this city with a feeling of longing
Well, this hotel is one of the best goto hotel in Baku city, and the staff, Mr. Ali, Samir, Zaid, Fakhri, to name a few, they were all great at their services. Great staff and great facilities. A total value for money, more than expected facility.
It was an all-around excellent hotel .. starting from the welcoming staff, to comfy ambiance, to excellent location .. 5 minutes walk to Nizami street, and walking distance to many other attractions like mall, seafront, and Baku old city.
This hotel is inside old city area. It is very close to all sightseeing places of Baku. The room was very neat and clean. I had stayed for one night only. I haven't had breakfast. Overall its a good place to stay.
